AK Party Spokesperson Çelik: "The final solution is the establishment of a Palestinian state"

Çelik made a statement at the party headquarters regarding the Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) Meeting chaired by President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Ömer Çelik stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources made presentations at the Central Executive Committee (MKYK).
Çelik stated that the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit is on the world's agenda and that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has maintained a clear stance against Israel's policies in Gaza from the very beginning.
Çelik pointed out that the Palestinian issue lies at the root of all problems in the Middle East, and said:
The ultimate solution, in the final analysis, is the establishment of a Palestinian state. There is no other path to a solution than the establishment of a territorially intact, independent, and sovereign Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Therefore, without resolving the Palestinian issue, it is impossible to resolve any other issues in the Middle East. To reach the point where we can say that the Palestinian issue has been resolved, the establishment of a territorially intact, independent, and sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital is the sole framework for a solution.
Of course, many people have lost their lives since then. The picture that emerged as a result of the Netanyahu government's ruthless policies of genocide is one of the most brutal that humanity has ever witnessed. A genocidal machine that specifically targets children, women, and innocent people, systematically uses hunger as a tool of genocide, a machine for which all international institutions are guilty, yet cannot be stopped due to the ineffectiveness of international institutions, and the members of this network have perpetrated the world's worst massacres, far surpassing even the Nazis.
"A PROCESS VERY OPEN TO PROVOCATION"Çelik stated that Gaza has been President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's number one issue since October 7, 2023, and emphasized that he has waged a tremendous struggle first to ensure a ceasefire and then to establish mechanisms that will achieve lasting peace.
Çelik, noting that the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit Declaration of Intent represents a new phase for Gaza, continued:
"With the process of providing a brief respite for our brothers in Gaza, establishing a ceasefire, and completing the exchange process in the form of the release of detainees and other hostages, it has been possible for the highest amount of humanitarian aid to enter Gaza throughout this entire process, both yesterday and today. However, when we look at the whole picture, we realize that this is by no means sufficient. There is still a long way to go. It is crystal clear that Netanyahu is a political figure who has staked his political career and political future on perpetrating massacres.
But as I said, there's still a long way to go; it's a process very vulnerable to provocation. Despite all this, this declaration of intent, signed by our President along with Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, represents a new stage in opposing these genocidal policies over the past two years. An international will against these genocidal policies has been clearly demonstrated by all the leaders present. The need for an international guarantee has become clear. At this point, the path has been clear for progress toward an agreement on how to achieve lasting peace.
Çelik emphasized that much more progress must be made to achieve lasting peace, saying, "Some politicians are also talking about it. But we always say this clearly. The ultimate goal must be the establishment of a Palestinian State."
Emphasizing that the Palestinian people should live sovereignly in their own land, Çelik said:
Plans such as expelling Palestinians from Gaza are absolutely out of the question. Approaches such as having Palestinians governed by an authority other than Palestine are also unacceptable. Palestine, meaning both Gaza and the West Bank, must be governed by Palestinians. We declare that we will stand firmly against any plan or attempt to deprive Palestinians of their political existence, their sovereign rights, their homeland, and their right to exist—their right to live with honor, dignity, and dignity. As colleagues, we have witnessed closely the struggle waged by our President over these two years. He has consistently demonstrated the challenges he has faced, the unwavering commitment to the framework he has consistently demonstrated. There are aspects of this that are reflected in public opinion, but there are also aspects that remain largely unrecognized. Therefore, we once again express our gratitude to our President for never giving up on this struggle, for continuing it until the very end. Today, in his speech at the opening of the Central Executive Committee (MKYK), he once again declared this will to all of us and reminded us that we must all act accordingly.
Despite all this fragility, we will continue to work with all our strength, to fight, to maintain our high sensitivity regarding Palestine, and to support the Palestinian cause together with our colleagues in every unit, to ensure that this process continues on its path without any provocation. From here, we once again extend our warmest greetings and respect to our brothers in Gaza and the West Bank.
Çelik, stating that the goal of a " terror-free Turkey " continues with determination, said, "Just as we will not allow it to be sabotaged by certain states or groups, we will also stand against any disruption, derailment or sabotage of this process within the framework of approaches coming from the SDF and similar structures in Syria."
Çelik, stating that the focus of the agenda is clear and that the process of dissolving and disarming the PKK terrorist organization must be completed, made the following assessments:
"This is the implementation of all its branches and extensions. Furthermore, attempts to add other agendas to this agenda, such as raising or lowering the price, are overt or covert counter-measures to the smooth functioning of the process. We express our sensitivity that these are inexcusable in any way and that this matter must be conducted in accordance with the definition of the process. As can be seen, we are witnessing various organizations in the region being manipulated by other states using proxy forces, in essence, to destabilize the region.
Just as those Druze politicians or leaders who are pursuing separatism in southern Syria do not represent the fundamental will of the Druze, we will not allow certain groups that do not represent the will of the Kurds, the will of the Arabs, the will of the Turkmens, the will of the Alevis, the Sunnis, the Shiites, the Nusayirs, or the Yazidis to destabilize the region through terrorism and to divert the policy of a terror-free region, which is the organic continuation of the terror-free Türkiye we have mentioned.
